On 13 November 2019, the Department of Human Rights organized Human Rights Day to honour and celebrate the unique identity of individuals as members of the human family and to reinforce that human beings are entitled to certain inalienable and indivisible rights. It was an hour long interactive session for the students and teachers present. The programme was conducted by SWAYAM (a feminist non-profit organization). Ms. Sukanya Gupta was invited as the Guest Speaker. Ms. Gupta spoke about “Women and Human Rights”. She spoke extensively about different forms of discrimination faced by young girls and women in every spheres of life. The programme was an interactive session followed by Q& A with students and teachers. Overall, it was an enlightening session.
