Loreto College Kolkata organized a Book Exhibition cum Sale on 20th August, 2019.

The Book Exhibition cum Sale started from 2017. This is our third venture. We limited the number of participants to seven, the eighth participant being ourselves, that is, Loreto College, with the range of our departmental publications.

Books displayed for sale covered a wide variety of subjects such as English Literature, Political Science, Sociology, Education, Economics, Psychology, History, Geography, Film Studies, Journalism, Media Studies and Bengali. There were also a variety of popular fiction, self help books, books on spirituality, competitive examinations, travel, art, etc.

From 9.00 in the morning till 5.00 in the afternoon the Exhibition Hall was teeming with students, professors and visitors from other institutions. The professors of various departments made selections of books for purchase by the Library as well as of their personal use. Students were seen browsing and making purchases of not only prescribed texts but also books of their interest.

Librarians from Bhawanipur Education Society College, Scottish Church College and Sarsuna College attended our Book Exhibition cum Sale. Teachers and Librarians from different Loreto schools also visited.
