Joy of Giving Week

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Loreto College, Kolkata celebrated Joy of Giving Week by participating in the annual carnival organised by St. Joseph’s Home on December 1, 2024. The carnival featured various stalls set up by schools located in adjoining areas, ranging from fun games to various food options.

Twenty NSS volunteers assisted the crowd, managed the stalls, and helped with overall event coordination. Each volunteer was assigned to a specific stall, where they supported the vendors in managing their stalls efficiently and performed other miscellaneous tasks.

The key takeaway for the volunteers was understanding how even small contributions can have a significant impact on the lives of others, and how teamwork and coordination can lead to meaningful change and success.
