NSS Day 2024

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Loreto College, Kolkata collaborated with the Social Service Society and the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, West Bengal to organise a Blood Donation Camp on September 24, 2024 in observance of NSS Day. The Unit also organised a Campus and Canteen Clean-up Activity in the college premises on the same day. Six NSS volunteers assisted the donors and distributed food and water to them. They took care to ensure that no donor felt uncomfortable or unwell after donating blood. Six NSS volunteers also cleaned the college canteen, making sure that no piece of waste or plastic was left behind. The events led the volunteers to understand the importance of taking care of both people and the environment, enabling them to develop a deeper sense of empathy and care.
