B.Ed. Special Assembly for Christmas
The Department of B.Ed., Loreto College, Kolkata conducted a special assembly on December 20, 2024 to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. The event was marked by a harmonious blend of faith, unity, and festive cheer, reflecting the season’s essence.
The assembly commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Head of the Department, Dr. Kaustuva Banerjee, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and hope over despair. This was followed by a soulful reading of the Holy Scriptures, which set a reflective and reverent tone for the gathering. Intercessory prayers were then offered, invoking blessings of peace, harmony, and goodwill.
The event’s highlight was the carol-singing session, where students from Semester I and Semester III came together to present melodious Christmas carols. Their spirited performance was met with enthusiastic participation from the audience, including all the teachers of the department. The collective singing created an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie, truly embodying the message of togetherness that Christmas signifies.
The assembly stood as a testament to the collaborative effort and dedication of the students and faculty. It was an enriching experience that brought the department closer, leaving everyone with a sense of gratitude and festive joy.
