World Down Syndrome Day and World Autism Day

On March 26, 2025, the Department of Education at Loreto College, in collaboration with MENTAID Kolkata and under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Loreto College, celebrated World Down Syndrome Day (March 21) and World Autism Day (April 2). The event showcased a program centered on the theme of inclusion, with students and teachers from MENTAID and Loreto College participating. The program began with a prayer service and a dance performance, followed by a dance by students from both MENTAID and Loreto College, emphasizing the importance of cultural peace and harmony. The Loreto College students paid tribute to the MENTAID participants with a medley of songs, a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the achievements of individuals with Down Syndrome and Autism, and a recitation. Ankit from MENTAID captivated the audience with his poetry.
