Seminar on MBA- Path to be CEO
In conjunction with Dialego 2025, the Annual Students' meet event organized by the Department of Political Science, and pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T.I.M.E, a principal sponsor of the event, the department conducted a seminar titled "MBA: Path to be CEO" on March 26, 2025 from 12.30 pm onwards. The objective of this session was to furnish students with comprehensive insights into the MBA journey, encompassing admission procedures, entrance examinations, and career prospects.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Kaustav Kundu, offered detailed elucidations on prominent business schools in India, outlining their admission criteria and selection protocols. He underscored pivotal entrance examinations such as CAT, GMAT, XAT, and MAT, emphasizing preparatory strategies and the significance of selecting suitable specializations. Notably, Mr. Kundu highlighted that candidates from non-technical backgrounds, akin to the majority of attendees, may hold an advantage over engineering counterparts, including graduates from IITs, in certain MBA admissions processes. The seminar attracted an audience of over 100 students from diverse academic disciplines.
The session culminated in an interactive Question and Answer segment, during which students posed queries concerning career prospects, specialization choices within the MBA domain, and industry expectations.
The seminar proved highly informative, equipping students with indispensable insights to facilitate well-informed decisions regarding the pursuit of an MBA and readiness for the competitive admission landscape.
