CHRISTIANS, S.C., S.T., O.B.C, PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED AND OTHER CHALLENGED CANDIDATES,SPORTSWOMEN AND PERFORMING ARTISTS DESERVING OF CONSIDERATION - may meet the Principal, if available, between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sportswomen and Performing Artists should carry their certificates of participation and accomplishment at State and National level. However, please note, Meeting the Principal does not ensure admission.
After submitting the filled in Application Form online, a print-out (hard copy) of the Online Application Form must also be submitted to the College – (open, all documents neatly stapled BEHIND Application Form to be dropped into the drop box kept on the ground floor of the college building) within the stipulated date, between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. with copies of Marksheets / Certificates attached (attestation should be done wherever necessary as mentioned on the Application Form). If a student is applying for more than one course, separate copies of all relevant documents should be attached to the Application Form. The online payment receipt must be attached. Copies of Baptism Certificate and Reference from the Parish Priest (for Christians), Caste Certificates (for S.C. / S.T. /O.B.C. candidates), Disability Certificate from the Medical Superintendent, Government of West Bengal should also be attached, if applicable.
All information regarding admission (including dates of the various stages of admission) will be available on the Website (www.loretocollege.in) and on the College Notice Board. No information will be provided over the phone or at the office.
Selection and Admission in Loreto College is done on the basis of merit, and the following are taken into consideration :
A final list of candidates selected to meet Department Teachers and the Principal for the Interface Meeting will be put on the Website/College Notice Board (within the stipulated date). At the time of the Interface Meeting, candidates must come in with at least one parent and bring all the necessary ORIGINAL documents. After the Interface Meeting, if admission has been confirmed, the fees are to be paid at the College Counter of State Bank of India Middleton Row Branch. After payment of fees, the candidate must fill in the Admission Form in the College. The ORIGINAL MIGRATION CERTIFICATE (for students from all Boards other than the W.B.H.S., C.B.S.E., I.S.C. and N.I.O.S.), must be submitted at that time. Failure to do so will mean that the name will be cancelled and the seat will be given to the next candidate on the Waiting List.
