Academic Session on Art Therapy
The Department of Psychology of the college organized a talk on Art Therapy for the students on 8th December in the Concert Hall. Rachel Lev-Wiesel, Chair & Director-founder of Emily Sagol Creative Arts Therapies Research Center, University of Haifa, Israel was invited to give us a glimpse into the world of art therapy. She discussed the various aims and utility of such therapy and detailed some substantial researches made in this domain. Interestingly, she discussed some specific cases of patients suffering from psychopathology and how their artistic creations portrayed the emotional turmoil they were going through. It was an enlightening session and heightened our interest in this special form of therapy to help relieve people of stress.
